With an MSc in physics and a PhD in medicine, Jelte is a Researcher in the Department of Human Performance in Soesterberg by TNO, a Dutch not-for-profit applied scientific research organization. In addition to that, he holds a chair in Vestibular Motion and Attitude Perception as an endowed professor at the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. His professional interests concern the effects of physical and visual self-motion on safety, health, performance and well-being, with a special interest in understanding and modeling self-motion perception and motion sickness.
