Cornelius is the Product Technical Leader for Touchless Interaction at gestigon GmbH in Germany, part of the Valeo group. Transitioning to the automotive industry in 2015 after completing his PhD in Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University, he initially contributed to eye tracking systems at Smart Eye AB in Sweden. Since joining gestigon in early 2018, Cornelius has played a pivotal role in the development team, focusing on image-based detection algorithms such as gesture recognition and interior monitoring, and leading the touchless interactions team.
