Presenting the results of our World Cafés: The moderators summarize the key take-aways of their World Café Round Tables on the main stage and share the main findings with all attendees.
Peter Rössger is the founder of beyond HMI/////. We focus on creating knowledge on HMIs, usability, and user experience for the automotive industry, the Industrial Internet, mobile machinery, and software applications. We perform studies on usability and user experience. We use our knowledge to develop HMI concepts for our customers. Until early 2015 Peter was Business Development Director at TES Electronic Solutions GmbH. During his 12 years with Harman Automotive he created HMI concepts for automotive OEMs like Mercedes, Porsche, Toyota, Hyundai, PSA, Ferrari, and Harley Davidson. For Daimler, he worked 4 years in driver-vehicle interaction. Peter holds a doctoral degree in Human Factors Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin. He published various papers on usability, user experience, cross-cultural HMIs, and autonomous driving. He lives at Böblingen near Stuttgart, Berlin, and at Port d'Andratx, Mallorca.
Danilo is a System Safety Manager at Continental Automotive Technologies, responsible for the safety assessment of autonomous mobility projects during advanced design / innovation phase, having acted as safety manager for several platforms within highly automated driving, mobile robots and drones. Within Safety, Danilo was appointed Expert Safety-in-Use for automated systems at Continental and is a reference within the organization for this topic.
Guy-Aimé Tiadi is the Senior Human Factors & UX / Activities Lead at VALEO, focusing on Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) for detecting driver drowsiness and occupant distraction and unresponsive driving. His work included leading Human Factor Activities, defining detection algorithms, contributing to automotive RFQs, conducting expert annotations, and correlating algorithm performance with user experience. Previously, Aimé was a Consultant - Expert in Human Factors at VALEO, specializing in designing embedded sensors for detecting driver distraction and drowsiness and concurrently, he is a substitute teacher at MyDigitalSchool. Aimé holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuro-science from Université Paris-Saclay.
Dr. Cristina Rico García is an expert in AI-driven automotive technologies, currently serving as Head of In-Cabin Sensing at CARIAD. With two decades of experience in artificial intelligence and software development, she has led initiatives in sensor fusion, camera perception, lidar and radar perception, natural language understanding and machine learning across companies like Bosch, Argo AI and German Aerospace Center. Her work focuses on enhancing vehicle safety and comfort through advanced sensing technologies for all brands of the Volkswagen Group.
Urs is the Site R&D Manager working on new in-cabin sensing functions at gestigon GmbH, part of Valeo, a leading Tier 1 supplier for the automotive industry. Urs is part of the Valeo family for 20 years and has helped to bring many driving assistance and in-cabin sensing systems into the market. He's interested in sensor design, sensor fusion, and function development.
