Antonio Cobaleda-Cordero is a Spanish design engineer and researcher based in Sweden, who is currently leading the UX research conducted at Polestar Design. Antonio has over 13 years of experience across various roles in product design, development, research, and innovation, both in academia and industry. After completing his Ph.D. in Human-Technology-Design, he transitioned into the automotive sector to contribute to developing a more meaningful and pleasurable future of electric mobility for real users. His current role as Research Lead focuses on the complex and multi-layered user experiences of/ with/ through Polestar products, services, and systems.
The Pop in Your Job:
There are several aspects of my job that I love. The main one is that working in automotive as a car nerd is a dream come true. Also, due to my background and role I am working very closely with extremely talented colleagues in new products and developments, meaning that I see the future taking shape around me already today. My work allows me to add high value to the products we create by informing and influencing the decision making. Last but not least, the main driver of my career and professional choices was the desire to impact people’s lives positively, and this job gives me the power to do so.
Laurent Nicolas is UX&HMI Senior Fellow at Stellantis and Head of the French UX cross-functional platform. With a double background in engineering (product design) and human factors and ergonomics (PhD), Laurent has over 25 years of experience in driving innovation and developing automotive user experiences through the design of automotive cockpits, driving assistances, infotainment systems, and embedded features.
Abu Miah is a Research Analyst at ABI Research, specializing in the Smart Mobility and Automotive team. With three years of experience in research across corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues and the automotive industry, Abu has expertise in evaluating and forecasting emerging technologies in vehicles, such as in-car gaming and passenger-seat displays, and delivering actionable insights for the strategy, integration, and monetization of connected and software-defined vehicle (SDV) features. These span HMI and technology architectures, in-vehicle infotainment, and connectivity, among several other domains in the vehicle.

Being at the intersection of the technology innovators and implementers of the automotive industry has given me a lot of perspective on what is needed to bring about change. It's a fascinating time to be working in this industry and after witnessing how OEMs, Tier Ones, and other stakeholders in the industry have adapted over the last few years, I'm excited to see how we fare in the last half of this decade.
Sara Storm is a seasoned UX strategist with extensive experience in designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for complex systems. As the Senior UX Strategist for the HMI Platform at Zeekr Technology Europe, she specializes in creating seamless and engaging user experiences in the automotive industry.
Sara's career has been dedicated to understanding customers, starting as an Art Director in marketing and transitioning to UX, Product, Service, and Business design. Her drive to help customers has always been at the core of her work. With a strong background, innovative approach, and commitment to user-centric design, she has taken on roles as a Design Advisor and UX Strategist, focusing on simplifying user interactions in-car HMIs. Sara is passionate about leveraging her skills to enhance user satisfaction and drive technological advancements in the automotive sector.
The Pop in Your Job: I believe simplicity is key in design. Too often, we overcomplicate things, making it difficult for users to understand and engage with our products. My passion for UX stems from a commitment to seeing the world through the user's eyes. By truly understanding their perspectives and needs, we can create solutions that are intuitive and easy to use.
